Life is so fragile. If there is one thing it has taught me, it is to always treasure the time you spend with your family and friends. Definitely.

The past 2 days have been physically, mentally and emotionally draining.
28th April- I guess it was the same thing that happened 2 years ago. Well, we must definitely pick ourselves up and move on. I have to admit that it still hurts, (even more so given that it happened again), but events like these bring out the best in people. We see the effort and dedication put in by everyone, not just the ensemble but our seniors. Thank you to the people in Prime for all the encouragement and especially Sze Ying for remaining so patient throughout all the sectionals. To Edward, Yinhong, Stephanie and the rest for the encouragement again, before Investiture.
And of course, to the people in class who were so concerned, a big thank you, too. (:

There has been so many things going on and so much to do in the past few weeks.
I think this is kind of late but I hope you see it.
Happy 18th Birthday, Yinxue! :)
I miss talking to you. Yeah, but hope that you had a great birthday. 18 already. Sounds kind of grown-up. :) We still have not found a date to meet yet. But hopefully, we can find a day soon. :) Most importantly, continue to stay healthy, happy and strong.

Everyone was dancing in the moonlight. :) Told you I would post the song.
Dancing in the Moonlight by Toploader
we get it on most every night
when that moon is big and bright
it's a supernatural delight
everybody's dancing in the moonlight
everybody here is out of sight
they don't bark and they don't bite
they keep things loose they keep it tight
everybody's dancing in the moonlight
dancing in the moonlight
everybody's feeling warm and bright
it's such a fine and natural sight
everybody's dancing in the moonlight
we like our fun and we never fight
you can't dance and stay uptight
it's a supernatural delight
everybody was dancing in the moonlight

Guess this is my first post for the year 2009.
Haha, I have been thinking a lot about fairytales and stories lately. Maybe it is because of watching Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea and something else.
Anyway, something related to that. Would you do something even if you know there is little of hope of achieving something? Like you know it would probably be futile at the end of the journey. I was thinking about how Cinderella still decided to attend the ball in spite of knowing that she has to be back by 12 and she will not get to dress up after 12 anymore. After 12, it is back to doing the household chores again. Well, why is it that people still do stuff despite knowing that the chances for success are well, close to zero?
I like to think that it is because there is a glimmer of hope. And that is why people do stuff that may seem to yield no results at first. Haha. Maybe we all believe and hope, and sometimes things do work out. We call them miracles or fairytales. :)
I was just thinking that it is such a Cinderalla story and when I was channel surfing a while ago, they were screening 'A Cinderella Story'. Yeah, the one with Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray. As predictable as it was, haha, I still watched it. In the end, both went to Princeton together.
Well, all we can do is to continue to hope and believe. Haha, as tough as this year may seem, it is always good to hope and believe. Instead of thinking about how tough it will be, perhaps, it may be better to think positive. Haha. :)

Happy New Year to everyone. :) Hopefully 2009 will be a more fruitful, successful and fulfilling year for everyone, especially for those taking any major examination the end of next year.
I must say today, the last day of 2008, started on a very bright note. :) I finally got a home delivery. Haha. Yeah. Thank you so much, it made my day. :)
Yup, best wishes for the new year to all of you. :)

I know time flies, but seriously, 2008 has been exceptionally fast. To me, at least. I think I have mentioned this to a few people before, about how this year just went by in the blink of an eye. 2009 seems exciting but a little scary.
So much happened in 2008. Milestones, many firsts, ups and downs, highs and lows, happiness, dread... 2008 has been a radical change from all the other years.
My 2008 started with a lot of apprehension. I do not like to say it, but yeah, I was so afraid on my first day at VJ. Seeing so many people from different schools... Yeah, guess it was comforting to see quite a few Cedarians, but everything seemed so foreign. Coming from an all-girls school (since Primary One), there were so many changes in JC. Haha, trivial stuff like making sure I do not walk straight into the guys' toilet and stuff etc... But luckily, things got a much better. :)
Basically, for the first quarter of the year, it seemed like some big orientation for me. People were moving in and out of VJ... Yeah, and there were so many adjustments. From Jan to March, I think I can still remember these things: Handball, treehouse, ecp, presents, angel-mortal, lots of self-introduction games (haha). I was just looking at the very first class photo we took, the one taken by Kelvin with all of us in our different uniforms... Yup, and of course, Wei Han, Isaac, Desmond and Samuel. :) Hey, I still remember you all when we were playing the self-introduction name game thingy.
I remember how one day, a few of us just decided to go back to Cedar. Haha, in the end, Kelly and I walked in the rain to Cedar after changing buses. Haha, and meeting up with Charis, Liu Kun, Rui Wen, Pinn Xian for V-day. Trying to prank Wei Han on V day and then someone trying to prank her again at Suntec.
Anyway, the year sort of whooshed by. CT Council investiture-I would not be what it is without the great adhoc, especially Greg. You were a great IC. :) Midyear exams, guitar's Osaka trip, Teachers' day... Another event which I am really thankful for being in such an adhoc. Getting to know more people in council through being in the adhoc... Irving, Chiu Yee, Celeste, Samuel, and of course, Ruth helping us along. CSE debate, promos, PW, SILS, Waseda...
This year has been sort of a special one. :) Yep, without the support from 08S65 (both past and present), I probably do not know how I would have coped. Thank you to Sing Yee, Liu Kun, Kelly, Jiani, Simin, Sze Waiy and people at the morning table, and haha, Rui Wen, Charis, Pinn Xian, and of course, my dearest Yin Xue, for talking to me and always telling me not to worry so much. :) Sze Ying, too. :) I am really grateful for all your advice.
The people from the Waseda trip... For making it so fun and really funny especially on those long bus rides. :)
Again, 2008 has been a special one. (I know I am repeating.) Certain events have made me wiser, made me look at things from a new perspective. Hopefully, it has made me a little more mature? Haha. Making 23 something special and hopefully for a really long time to come. :)
I hope everyone will have a fruitful and great 2009 ahead. :)

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. :) To Sing Yee, have a great trip, yeah? Have loads of fun. We will miss you! :) Haha.
After the festive season, I realised how much I enjoy receiving cards/letters. Yes, through the mail. I think I sound rather stupid saying this, but yeah, haha, it is quite fun lifting the envelope flap and finding out who sent you the letter/ card. It is always nice to get a letter from someone you do not expect to receive a letter from. Haha. Yes, oh yah, and thank you Rui Wen. I just received your card today. :)
